GMT-6 hrs.
No visas necessary for UK or Irish passport holders. Carnet not accepted,
and temporary importation requires lots of photocopies - half a dozen
each(!) of passport, vehicle title, Costa Rica insurance ($10 or so for a
month), importation form, and driver's licence .
Internet more expensive than most in South America, but still cheap and
widespread Roads fair, but minor roads and badly maintained major roads
have lots of potholes.
Very tourist oriented and noticeably more expensive than South America.
We didn't encounter discriminatory pricing. |
